Orthopaedic block is totally amazing, so much free time and i already feel like summer's finally come! This whole series of reunions actually started a week earlier when talent and I had lunch during my supposingly study week in Surgery!! It's good to see him after his pseudo-extinction for so long and glad that he could come so far for this lunch. Surprised to learn that he's doing a Masters course right now, but that would mean we're gonna have more chances to meet up (assuming that i'll have free time...hmmm...better not assume it right now)
Dinner with Angela at a really tiny & chill (literally!) Taiwanese restaurant =) nice to meet up & glad to be counted as one of your many friends whom you want to keep :) And so happy to share with you my amateur opinions on outfits and accessories. Farewell Siu-Yeh with Sonny, met Jer, Sobby, FeiHei, FeiHang, ChiChi, Simon and later Ah Cheung joined. Loads of fun, the group was again (unfortunately, mates haha) into clinical/healthcare group (me simon fei hang chichi) vs non-clinical/healthcare group at the dessert shop. Haha...we just go on talking about silly stuffs like toothpaste & mouthwash while jer & fei hei was pushed to one side, and the other three (sobby, sonny, ah cheung) pushed to the other side....Turned out some of us were still hungry after dessert so another round of Da Larng at Fei Hang's VIP shop (Kuen Kei?) ...Anyway the food was great, and the whole night was absolutely enjoyable. Sonny was exceptionally delighted as Sobby pointed out :) I was so glad that I am in such a hea block therefore could join this late supper :) All the best in Aus sonny, see you in Nov!
Dinner with Simon & Dixon at Satay King in Jordan, was another unforgettable night - 4 hours! so unbelievable to have them both sitting there for so long - i mean we're all busy busy, and it sounds impossible to gather people for a reunion. I do mean it, but yea it's totally understandable lol. So glad to have friends like them whom I could just talk and talk and talk ( and get the real-est comments too) It's cool to have dinner of this size, you cant really talk too deep when there's a whole crowd sitting at the same table - you'd tend to make time for each of them and as a result you won't go as deep as you could be when there's only 1 or 2 really close ones. I know Simon's gonna be busy in a week's time when he returns to school and yea it makes this whole dinner more memorable. And for Dixon, big congrats on graduating with a B- in Chinese and an overall, stunning GPA of 3.97 :) nice job
Well..I suppose I've caught up with pretty much everyone, but there are still some i'd like to meet up at least once in the rest of summer. Victor, whom i know is really busy practising and preparing for his competition, hope to meet him after he comes back. James, whom i know is also very busy with SSM, but i doubt if we have anything to talk about when we actually see each other.....sad isn't it.. Samuel, who is now busy with Constance at Johns Hopkins, supposingly doing some studying there. So i shall see him when he returns and becomes a 4th year fellow:) PB05 brothers, i know there's a PB dine coming up so I hope I will be there.
This is rather a fruitful and delightful beginning of my orthopaedic summer :) Good friends are always hard to keep, because it really takes a lot of efforts from both sides for the relationship to live on.
